Rex commences Melbourne-Canberra service

    Rex commenced (24-Jun-2021) Melbourne-Canberra service with Boeing 737-800 equipment on 24-Jun-2021. The airline will offer up to 200,000 seats p/a on the route. Rex deputy chairman John Sharp said the service launch “demonstrates our determination to drive down the cost of air travel and grow markets despite the most challenging of times”. Canberra Airport head of aviation Michael Thomson said: “This new service will boost tourism recovery here in the ACT”. Rex also operates Sydney-Canberra service.
