Rex reports net loss of USD3.7m in FY2021

    Regional Express (Rex) reported (31-Aug-2021) the following financial highlights for the 12 months ended 30-Jun-2021:

    • Total revenue, government grants and subsidies: AUD256.2 million (USD191.1 million), -20.4% year-on-year;
      • Passenger: AUD125.2 million (USD93.4 million), -41.3%;
      • Freight: AUD1.1 million (USD820,479.1), -16.0%;
      • Charter: AUD30.9 million (USD23.1 million), +4.1%;
      • Government grants and subsidies including JobKeeper: AUD87.4 million (USD65.2 million), +40.8%;
    • Total Costs: AUD263.3 million (USD196.3 million), -24.6%;
      • Labour: AUD108.0 million (USD80.6 million), +3.9%;
      • Engineering and maintenance: AUD45.9 million (USD34.2 million), -18.3%;
      • Flight and port operation: AUD46.6 million (USD34.8 million), -5.5%;
      • Fuel: AUD24.8 million (USD18.5 million), -25.8%;
    • Net profit (loss): (AUD4.9 million) (USD3.7 million), compared to a loss of AUD19.4 million in p-c-p;
    • Total assets: AUD413.9 million (USD308.7 million);
      • Cash and bank balances: AUD30.1 million (USD22.5 million);
    • Total liabilities: AUD240.5 million (USD179.4 million).
