Russia could increase inbound traffic by up to 30% by expanding electronic visa regime

Russia's Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergey Galkin estimated inbound tourism traffic could increase 5% to 10% year-on-year in 2019, while the proposed expansion of the electronic visa regime provides prospects for a 20% to 30% increase in inbound tourism traffic (TASS, 26-Feb-2019). Mr Galkin said Moscow, St Petersburg and Kaliningrad could join the pilot project on electronic visas.
