Ryanair Group expects loss of EUR200m in Q1FY2021

Ryanair Group stated (18-May-2020) it will be difficult for its airlines to return to scheduled services following coronavirus, as it will not request or receive state aid. Consultations regarding base closures, pay cuts of up to 20%, unpaid leave and up to 3000 jobs are under way with staff and unions. The Group's commercial team is in active discussions with airport partners regarding its summer 2020 schedule. Ryanair cannot provide FY2021 guidance at this time, however expects a loss of more than EUR200 million in Q1FY2021 and a smaller loss in Q2FY2021.
