Ryanair on target to achieve 30% of revenue from ancillaries

Ryanair reported (21-May-2018) the following ancillary revenue and customer service highlights for the year ended 31-Mar-2018:

  • Total group revenue: EUR7.15 billion;
  • 'MyRyanair' membership increased to 43 million;
  • Website and app reached more than one billion visits p/a;
  • Ryanair Labs stimulated 13% growth in ancillary revenues (+4% per guest) to more than EUR2 billion;
  • Ancillaries delivered 28% of total group revenue. The carrier has a five year goal of achieving 30% of total revenue from ancillaries;
  • Ryanair Rooms penetration rising steadily as passengers become familiar with service;
  • Ryanair Labs established three development offices in Dublin, Wroclaw, and Madrid, employing up to 600 digital professionals;
  • On time performance decreased from 88% to 86%, attributed to ATC delays due to strikes and staffing/capacity shortages primarily in France, Germany and Italy. [more - original PR]
