SEA Milan Malpensa Airport and Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM) signed (21-May-2021) an MoU to implement joint initiatives focused on the development of air/rail intermodality, with the following objectives:
- Study of possible integration of activities of air freight and intermodal rail road terminals;
- Development of synergies between modes of transport through integration of technological developments and sustainable solutions;
- Enhancement of freight traffic infrastructures in the Malpensa area;
- Expansion of services offered to customers.
The aim of the partnership is to enhance Milan Malpensa Airport's Cargo City and the Sacconago railway terminal. [more - original PR-Italian]
