Skyscanner reported (18-Mar-2021) growth in travel searches and bookings following new UK travellers will be permitted to access various European destinations in summer 2021. Skyscanner reported:
- 66% of UK travellers believe the global situation is getting better, a trend which has been increasing week on week;
- Spain was the top destination booked by UK travellers immediately following recovery roadmap announcements, with Aug-2021 the most popular outbound month;
- Searches to Greece from the UK for summer 2021 have increased 44% week on week.
In addition, Skyscanner reported drops in average fares from the UK to some European holiday destinations, including Spain (up to 25% lower) and Cyprus (up to 17% lower). [more - original PR]
