South Korea MOLIT grounds nine 737NGs and refers 36 to Boeing for fuselage cracks

South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) completed (11-Nov-2019) safety inspections on 100 Boeing 737NG aircraft at the request of the US FAA. Thirty six aircraft were identified to have fuselage cracks, which have been referred to Boeing for further inspection. Nine aircraft were also immediately grounded. The initial safety checks were for Korean registered aircraft that operate internationally, with a further 150 domestic fleet 737NG currently undergoing checks. [more - original PR - Korean]
