South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) CEO Christopher Cocker, speaking at CAPA Live from Puerto Rico October 2021, stated (13-Oct-2021) "Currently tourism… is at a complete standstill", adding "It will take around five years for us to return to pre COVID arrival figures". Mr Cocker said for the majority of SPTO's smaller destinations, "tourism reactivation is some time away".
