Starlux Airlines outlines fleet composition and route development plans

Starlux Airlines plans to take delivery of 10 A321neo aircraft in Oct-2019 (Taipei Times, 07-Jan-2019). The aircraft will operate on the start up carrier's planned medium haul services from Taiwan to Northeast and Southeast Asia, with operations due to commence in 1Q2020 following certification from the Taiwan Civil Aeronautics Administration. Starlux also plans to purchase 17 A350s for long haul US services, with deliveries expected from 2021. As previously reported by CAPA, Starlux is headed by former EVA Air chairman Chang Kuo-wei and plans to cater to the premium business travel market.
