Suva Nausori International Airport breaks ground on terminal upgrades, runway extension

Fiji's Government, via its official Twitter account, announced (19-Sep-2018) the groundbreaking of upgrades and runway extension at Suva Nausori International Airport. Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama said: "Today, we are breaking ground for much more than just another landmark infrastructure project. Today, we break ground on a new era of development and growth for Nausori". Attorney General and Minister responsible for Civil Aviation Ai­yaz Sayed-Khaiyum stated Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be able to operate at a full load once the runway extension project is completed (Fiji Sun, 19-Sep-2018).
