Airport Arrivals - the top five most anticipated airport openings in 2019

14 January, 2019

The travel and tourism sector is a key global economic driver, but how will the air transport industry will continue to support economic growth against a predicted doubling in passenger and a significant lack of airport capacity to meet these projections.

The past few months has seen a flurry of new airport activity across the world, with the inauguration of Van Don International Airport on 30-Dec-2018 and the recent decision by the Mexican government to suspend construction works at the New Mexico City International Airport.

Asian markets will be the main driver of growth and the bulk of new activity is anticipated in that region, in particular China which is planning to develop approximately 200 new airports by 2035.

Looking ahead for 2019, The Blue Swan Daily presents whats we believe are among the most anticipated airport openings for the current and next calendar year.
