Tourism Australia: More than 51% of Australians are delaying domestic travel for six to 12 months

Tourism Australia GM domestic and New Zealand Andrew Hutchinson stated (02-Jun-2021) "At a macro level Australia's domestic tourism recovery is doing well with an optimistic outlook", with the overall economy recovering at "a faster level than government forecasts". Mr Hutchinson said despite an optimistic outlook, tourism recovery is uneven due to the absence of international travel and more than 51% of Australians "are delaying booking domestic travel for 6 to 12 months or more".
