Tourism and Transport Forum Australia (TTF Australia) CEO Margy Osmond welcomed (26-Oct-2020) the announcement by the Victorian State Government that it will start re-opening from 28-Oct-2020. Ms Osmond said that with this opening and the additional easing of restrictions due from 08-Nov-2020 the "next sensible step is to announce the removal of Victorian border travel restrictions well ahead of Christmas". A full border reopening would "allow for immediate COVID-Safe intrastate and interstate travel planning to visit friends and family and could also boost major upcoming Victorian events" being open to those from interstate, Ms Osmond continued.
