Ukrainian Government may establish new state-owned carrier in 2021

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said the government aims to establish a new state-owned airline in 2021 (avianews.com, 18-Aug-2021). Mr Zelensky said the proposed airline would focus on offering affordable direct connections between domestic destinations, rather than using Kyiv as a transit hub. Mr Zelensky held a meeting with aviation consulting company Aerogestion on 17-Aug-2021 to discuss the project.
