United and JetBlue among US carriers no longer recognising service animals on board

    United Airlines plans to no longer allow passengers to book travel for companion emotional support animals (USA Today/Travel Pulse, 08/09-Jan-2021). Animals will be permitted to fly only in the cargo hold or in a carrier that fits under the cabin seats. JetBlue Airways confirmed emotional support animals will no longer be recognised as service animals on board aircraft from 11-Jan-2021 (Travel and Leisure, 07-Jan-2021).
