US TSA screens lowest number of passengers since 04-Jul-2020 due to travel restrictions

28 January, 2021

US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reported (28-Jan-2021) it screened 468,933 passengers across US airports on 27-Jan-2021, a 71% year-on-year decrease and the fewest recorded figures since 04-Jul-2020. The decrease in traffic has been attributed to the increased travel restrictions put in place by the Biden Administration and higher COVID-19 infection rates across the US.
