US TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein, via her official Twitter account, reported (31-Aug-2021) the TSA screened 1,345,064 passengers at US airports on 31-Aug-2021, the lowest single day passenger throughput since 11-May-2021 (Reuters/CNBC, 01-Sep-2021). This is a decline of 40% compared to the same day in 2019.
