Vaccine efficiency news prompts growing sense of optimism for aviation industry

CAPA – Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: ‘European airline capacity falls again, but optimism grows’, stated (18-Nov-2020) capacity in Europe for Nov-2020 is now projected at 30% of 2019 levels, the third month in a row with a falling 2019 percentage comparison. That said, falling COVID-19 numbers could herald some relaxing of restrictions in Europe in the coming weeks, and recent news of a second highly efficacious vaccine in the pipeline possibly for late winter 2020/2021 or early spring 2021 adds to a growing sense of optimism in the industry.
