Vancouver International Airport to establish ‘Innovation Hub’ for post-coronavirus provincial growth

Vancouver International Airport will establish the ‘Innovation Hub’, a centre for excellence to promote technological innovation and drive post-coronavirus recovery growth for businesses in British Columbia (Times Colonist, 26-Apr-2021). The hub will look to seek out business partnerships, as well as developing ideas to help the airport meet its climate targets and make the airport more accessible for people with disabilities. The airport has already made agreements with 3D development and modelling agencies for use of the hub, as well as Vanderlande, which will use the airport as a base to develop solutions for baggage handling systems across its worldwide operations.
