Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss forecasts reduction in corporate travel

Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss said corporate travel will see a reduction of 20% compared to pre-pandemic levels for 2021 and 2022 (Financial Times, 13-Apr-2021). Boosted by cargo operations, the carrier is using 60% of its fleet, but Mr Weiss stressed the importance of resuming passenger services in summer 2021. He said he expected the premium leisure market to grow, adding that prices might be reduced to attract further demand.
