Visit Solomon Islands, via its official Facebook account, stated (01-Feb-2021) the Solomon Islands' Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), Tourism Solomons and Honiara City Council entered an MoU to increase "domestic tourism opportunity for the national capital and environs". The MoU builds on an agreement between MCT and Tourism Solomons, aimed at increasing domestic tourism and increasing revenue based opportunities. The strategy will encourage tour companies as well as accommodation and transport providers to increase their product to MCT minimum standards.
