Volotea selects AWS to host key technology infrastructure

Volotea selected (23-Mar-2021) Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide key technology infrastructure. The airline will migrate all its production workloads and applications to AWS with plans to shut down most of its existing data centres over the next two years. Volotea will migrate revenue management, flight control, crew scheduling, maintenance resource planning and other services to AWS. Volotea will reduce its technology costs. The move is part of Volotea's digital roadmap. Volotea is redeveloping and transforming its legacy systems into cloud-based platforms and is implementing customer travel services by standardising on various AWS services.
