Wizz Air now 'even better positioned' to weather COVID-19 crisis: CEO

Wizz Air CEO József Váradi said (28-Jan-2021) the carrier is "focused" on optimising cost structure and cash burn, adding that it has further enhanced its liquidity position with a EUR500 million three year bond issued on 19-Jan-2021. Mr Váradi said Wizz Air is now "even better positioned" to deal with the uncertainties associated with COVID-19 and added that with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine, "we believe 2021 will be a transition year out of the COVID-19 crisis".
