WTTC welcomes European Commission's proposal for unified EU travel certificate

World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) welcomed (17-Mar-2021) the proposal from the European Commission for a 'Digital Green Certificate', which would see all EU member states adopt a unified travel certificate system. WTTC president & CEO Gloria Guevara said this is "a major step towards the recovery of travel & tourism in the region" which "could see member states welcoming travellers with proof of vaccination, a negative test or a positive antibody test, in time for the busy summer period".
