IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with MMS Land, to debut the first Vignette Collection hotel in Indonesia. Rumah Luwih Bali with its 74 rooms and suites will join the IHG system later this year, before fully converting to a Vignette Collection property in 2024 following an extensive refurbishment.
IHG has also revealed that Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of its luxury & lifestyle portfolio, has broken ground on a new, boutique hotel in the Northern California coastal community of Pacific Grove, on the Monterey Peninsula.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with MMS Land, to debut the first Vignette Collection hotel in Indonesia. Rumah Luwih Bali with its 74 rooms and suites will join the IHG system later this year, before fully converting to a Vignette Collection property in 2024 following an extensive refurbishment.
Blending heritage and hospitality, the beachfront luxury colonial-style resort will be refreshed to offer what IHG describes as “an authentic, experiential, and considerate stay”, as part of its growing Vignette Collection of one-of-a-kind properties.

IHG is expanding quickly across Indonesia with 24 open hotels and 15 hotels in the pipeline.

Rumah Luwih, a classically colonial style Indonesian mansion, was acquired by MMS Land in Apr-2023 and is nestled amidst lush greenery with views of Mount Agung and the ocean. It features 74 guest rooms and suites sit upon black sand beaches with sweeping views of rice paddies.
Rumah Luwih Bali joins the global Vignette Collection portfolio in 2024, alongside the confirmed arrivals of Convent Square Lisbon and Casa da Companhia in Porto, Portugal, Yours Truly DC in the US, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley in Australia, Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok in Thailand and Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort with 18 hotels in the pipeline and a goal to reach 100 hotels by 2031.
IHG breaks ground on new boutique hotel in the Northern California
IHG has revealed that Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of its luxury & lifestyle portfolio, has broken ground on a new, boutique hotel in the Northern California coastal community of Pacific Grove, on the Monterey Peninsula.
Marking the boutique hotel brand’s first property in the market, Kimpton Pacific Grove Hotel will exude “elevated, laid-back vibes”. The property is expected to open in late 2025.
Owned and developed by Cypress 16, LLC in conjunction with Interport Capital, LLC, and L&B Realty Advisors, Kimpton Pacific Grove Hotel will be a newly built, Mission-style boutique hotel featuring 101 guestrooms, including six suites.
Rooms situated on the third and fourth floors will provide guests with sweeping views of the Monterey Bay, a breathtaking sight that is sure to promote a feeling of blissful relaxation.

When it opens in 2025, Kimpton Pacific Grove will become the tenth Kimpton hotel in California. The brand currently has 75 open hotels globally and 50 projects in the pipeline.
