Badgerys Creek Update – Interactive Map Released

12 June, 2017

In May-2017, the Australian Government released its 2017/18 Federal Budget, which included the development of the proposed Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek. The Government committed to AUD2.3 billion (USD1.7 billion) in funding towards the AUD5.3 billion (USD3.9 billion) cost for building the airport, as well as AUD2.9 billion (USD2.1 billion) over 10 years to enhance transport infrastructure in Sydney's western suburbs to support the new airport.

The first stage of project has now been released with an interactive portal that allows users to see what a Western Sydney Airport could look like. The map allows users to look at the airport site from different angles in the 3D orbit, view a series of "before" and "after" images of the Badgerys Creek site, and watch the full video or the videos by topic in the video gallery.

To visit the site and utilise the interactive map, visit Western Sydney Airport Portal.
