Bitcoin Watch – Bitcoin dives to its lowest level in months

11 June, 2018

Bitcoin has taken a rather large hit overnight (approx. 10%), falling to its lowest level since early Apr-2018, and one of the lowest in the last 12 months. Analysts are attributing the fall, which is not limited to Bitcoin but all cryptocurrencies, to South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Coinrail being hacked over the weekend. In a statement Coinrail confirmed that its systems had been hit by "cyber intrusion", causing a loss of about 30% of the coins traded on the exchange.
