The Indian airport has picked up the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Best Airport Arrivals Award for 2019. The awards recognise the airports around the world that deliver the best customer experience in the opinion of their own passengers.
While we tend to focus on the departure segment for airport quality due to the longer time and more facets of the customer experience, an airport arrival experience is equally as important, as both affect the overall passenger experience. This year actually marks the first time that an Arrivals Award has been presented as part of Airports Council International’s (ACI) airport service quality passenger service and benchmarking programme.
Owned and operated by Bengaluru International Airport Limited, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport is the international gateway to Bengaluru and ranks among the busiest airports in India. Replacing the old HAL Bangalore International Airport, the airport commenced operations in 2008 and hosts domestic, regional and international passenger and cargo traffic from over 25 airlines.
