CTC - Corporate Travel Community aims to keep you informed of these movements each month, with a full wrap of the key changes across regional markets, while also featuring key appointments announced for the month.

Here are the key executive changes for Jan-2023:

Asia Pacific

  • Sharp Airlines appointed Alistair Dorward as CEO, effective Mar-2023. Mr Dorward is the current CEO of Altara Group. Current CEO Dallas Hay, will retire after 14 years with Sharp Airlines.
  • Nok Air announced plans to appoint its CEO Wutthiphum Jurangkool as acting CFO from 01-Feb-2023. Mr Jurangkool replaces Apichat Suratanasurang in the role.
  • Tropic Air appointed Maximillian Greif as CEO.

Europe, Middle East and Africa

  • Iberia appointed Sonia Sánchez Plaza as director of communication.
  • Emerald Airlines appointed Keith Butler as CEO, effective Mar-2023. He replaces Conor McCarthy, who will take the position of executive chairman.
  • Max Air (Nigeria) announced the promotion of Alhaji Abubakar Dahiru Mangal to CEO.
  • easyJet appointed Jane Storm as group people director, effective spring 2023.
  • Brussels Airlines announced CEO Peter Gerber will step down from his position on 31-Jan-2023 and depart the Lufthansa Group. Lufthansa Group executive board member Christina Foerster will take over the airline's leadership on an interim basis.
  • Condor Flugdienst appointed Peter Gerber as CEO, effective 01-Feb-2024.

Americas

  • Air Canada announced the retirement of CCO and EVP Lucie Guillemette, effective 30-Apr-2023. As a result, the carrier made the following appointments under a realigned senior management structure, effective 01-May-2023:
    • Mark Nasr: Promoted to EVP marketing and digital, and president Aeroplan. Mr Nasr currently serves as SVP products, marketing and ecommerce;
    • Mark Galardo: Promoted to EVP revenue and network planning. Mr Galardo currently serves as SVP network planning and revenue management.
  • Alpine Air Express appointed Robert Frisch as COO.
  • American Airlines announced the retirement of chief customer officer Alison Taylor.
  • Allegiant Air announced the following executive appointments, effective immediately:
    • Robert Neal: SVP and CFO. Mr Neal joined the carrier in 2007, most recently serving as SVP corporate finance;
    • Tracy Tulle: SVP and chief experience officer. Ms Tulle joined Allegiant in 2012, most recently serving as SVP flight crew operations;
    • Drew Wells: Chief revenue officer. Mr Wells joined the carrier in 2011, most recently serving as SVP revenue and network planning.
