Here are the key executive changes for Jun-2022:

Asia Pacific

  • Loong Air appointed Xin Di as president, succeeding Liu Yi.
  • Air India appointed Arun Kashyap as executive director of engineering in May-2022.
  • Air New Zealand appointed Kiri Hannifin to the newly created role of chief sustainability officer.
  • Air China announced the resignation of chief safety officer Xu Chuanyu.
  • Hainan Airlines announced the appointment of Cheng Yong as chairman and legal representative, succeeding Wang Yingming.
  • Qantas Group announced Jetstar CEO Gareth Evans will step down in Dec-2022. Mr Evans will remain with the group into 2023 to work on key projects before leaving during 2023.
  • Tigerair Taiwan announced the re-appointment of chairman Kevin Chen.
  • Greater Bay Airlines chairman Wong Cho Bau announced the appointment of member of the board Stanley Hui Hon Chung as CEO, succeeding Algernon Yau.

Europe. Middle East & Africa

  • Fly2Sky appointed Aleksandrs Gusevs as chief commercial officer.
  • Air Belgium appointed Emmanuel Menu as its new chief commercial officer for passenger activities.
  • Air Austral announced the departure of CEO Marie-Joseph Malé. Deputy MD for economic and financial affairs Joseph Bréma assumed the CEO role on an interim basis until the appointment of a permanent replacement.
  • Gama Aviation promoted interim CFO Michael Williamson to the position on a permanent basis.
  • Hans Airways appointed Martin Dunn as CCO.
  • TUI Group announced CEO Fritz Joussen will depart the group at the end of Sep-2022. Mr Joussen will be replaced by CFO Sebastian Ebel from 01-Oct-2022, while director controlling, corporate finance and investor relations Matthias Kiep will become CFO.
  • TUS Airways appointed Ahmed Aly as CEO.

Americas

  • Breeze Airways appointed Michael Wuerger as COO.
  • UPS appointed Bala Subramanian to the new position of EVP and chief digital and technology officer, effective 18-Jul-2022.
  • WestJet announced the following appointments to its senior leadership team:
    • Angela Avery: WestJet Group EVP and chief people, corporate, and sustainability officer;
    • Christian Novosel: Chief digital officer;
    • Natalie Farand: Chief experience officer.
  • FedEx appointed Brie Carere as chief customer officer of FedEx, as well as co-CEO & co-president of FedEx Services.
  • Wheels Up appointed Todd Smith as CFO.
  • ABX Air appointed Patrick Fluegeman as COO.
