Here are the key executive changes for May-2022:

Asia Pacific

  • Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced the resignation of Campbell Wilson as CEO of Scoot, effective 15-Jun-2022. SIA senior VP sales and marketing Leslie Thng will replace Mr Wilson in the role.
  • TATA Group appointed Campbell Wilson as Air India CEO and MD.
  • China Southern Airlines announced the resignation of Cheng Yong as executive VP and Su Liang as chief economist, both due to retirement.
  • InterGlobe Aviation Limited appointed Pieter Elbers as IndiGo CEO. He replaces Ronojoy Dutta, who will retire from the IndiGo CEO role on 30-Sep-2022.
  • StarFlyer announced the appointment of Osamu Machida as president, succeeding Masaharu Shirouzu who is retiring, effective 29-Jun-2022. The carrier also created a new chairman position, appointing Yokoe Tomonori, also effective 29-Jun-2022.
  • Aero Mongolia confirmed it appointed Munkhbaatar Ganbold as CEO.
  • Jet Airways appointed Prabh Sharan Singh as chief digital officer.
  • Philippine Airlines confirmed the appointment of Stanley K Ng as president and COO.
  • Shandong Airlines' board of directors elected vice chairman Xu Chuanyu as chairman, succeeding Su Xiujian who tendered his resignation.
  • Air India recently made the following executive appointments:
    • Nipun Aggarwal appointed as chief commercial officer;
    • Suresh Dutt Tripathi appointed as chief human resources officer;
    • Satya Ramaswamy appointed as chief digital and technology officer.

Europe, Middle East & Africa

  • Hans Airways promoted Nathan Burkitt to COO.
  • ASKY Airlines appointed Esayas Woldemariam as CEO.
  • British Airways plans to implement the following executive changes:
    • Dirk John to replace chief information and digital officer Anthony Allcock;
    • Calum Laming to replace chief customer officer Tom Stevens;
    • Incumbent COO Jason Mahoney to share the role with a new external hire.
  • Transavia COO Petra De Ruiter was appointed as the new CEO of Holland Casino, effective 01-Sep-2022.
  • Burkina Faso's Council of Ministers announced the appointment of Maxime Dipina Christian Toe as Air Burkina MD.
  • Condor appointed Björn Walther as CFO, effective 01-Jun-2022.
  • IAG Cargo appointed Caroline Andrews as chief people officer.
  • Pegasus Airlines appointed Onur Dedeköylü as chief commercial officer.
  • Cyprus Airways (Charlie Airlines) appointed Paul Sies as CEO.

Americas

  • Cargojet Airways appointed Scott Calver as CFO.
  • GOL promoted Celso Ferrer from vice president of operations to CEO, effective 01-Jul-2022.
  • ExpressJet Airlines promoted Neville Randeria from director of finance to CFO.
  • Delta Air Lines appointed Eric Phillips to the newly created chief digital officer role.
  • Arajet announced the appointment of Garret Malone as chief operating officer.
