Here are the key executive changes for Nov-2022:

Asia Pacific

  • Cathay Pacific Group appointed Jeanette Mao as HK Express CEO, effective 01-Apr-2023. Ms Mao presently serves as Cathay Pacific general manager inflight services. She replaces Mandy Ng as HK Express CEO. The airline group appointed Ms Ng as Cathay Pacific director service delivery, effective 01-Apr-2023, replacing Alex McGowan.
  • Cathay Pacific Group announced the appointment of Ronald Lam as Cathay Pacific CEO, effective 01-Jan-2023, following the retirement of Augustus Tang from the role on 31-Dec-2022. Mr Lam presently serves as Cathay Pacific chief customer and commercial officer. The airline also announced the following senior executive appointments and changes:
    • Lavinia Lau appointed as chief customer and commercial officer, replacing Mr Lam, and executive director to the board, effective 01-Jan-2023. Ms Lau presently serves as director customer travel;
    • Greg Hughes to retire from chief operations and service delivery officer role in 2023;
    • Alex McGowan appointed as chief operations and service delivery officer, replacing Mr Hughes, and executive director to the board, effective 01-Apr-2023. Mr McGowan presently serves as director service delivery. He will also be appointed as Air Hong Kong chair, upon Mr Hughes' retirement;
    • Erica Peng appointed as director customer travel, replacing Ms Lau, effective 01-Jan-2023. Ms Peng presently serves as general manager planning.
  • Eastar Jet appointed Kim Moon-kwon as CEO.
  • Thai Airways plans to appoint Chai Eamsiri as new CEO from 01-Feb-2023.
  • China Southern Airlines announced the resignation of EVP Luo Lai Jun, and of chief pilot Luo Ming Hao due to retirement.
  • Air China announced the appointment of Xiao Peng as chief engineer.

Europe, Middle East and Africa

  • Lufthansa Cargo announced the appointment of Katharina Prost as MD finance and administration for AeroLogic, replacing the outgoing Martin Hirsch, effective 01-Oct-2022.
  • Flyr appointed Brede Huser as CEO to succeed Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid, who has decided to leave.
  • ASL Airlines France CEO Jean-François Dominiak stepped down as CEO at the end of Nov-2022.
  • ASL Aviation Holdings appointed Eric Vincent as ASL Airlines France managing director.
  • easyJet confirmed the permanent appointment of David Morgan as COO, sitting on the Airline Management Board.
  • S7 Group press secretary Tamara Nikiforova said the company appointed Dmitry Kudelkin as director general, effective 21-Oct-2022.
  • Qazaq Air announced Yerkin Nauryzbayev was appointed as CEO effective 09-Sep-2022, by a Samruk Kazyna resolution dated 01-Sep-2022.

Americas

  • Delta Air Lines appointed Peter Carter as EVP external affairs.
  • Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) appointed Paul Chase as chief commercial officer (CCO), effective 05-Dec-2022. Mr Chase will succeed Mike Berger, who will move to the role of chief strategy officer.
