Grand Hyatt Shenzhou Peninsula latest Hainan arrival; Hyatt grows brands in Southeast Asia & beyond

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has confirmed the opening of Grand Hyatt Shenzhou Peninsula in Wanning, Hainan. The 262-room oceanfront resort offers a luxurious tropical escape amidst the spectacular natural beauty of Hainan's Shenzhou Peninsula, a natural treasure located off the east coast of Hainan Island with a tropical climate, fresh air, golden beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Nestled among lush gardens with stunning views of the South China Sea to the south and a tranquil inner sea to the north, the resort provides a welcoming environment to relax, indulge and play. It is also just a short distance from popular scenic, cultural and lifestyle attractions, including surfing spots boasting spectacular waves, and world-class golfing at The Dunes located just 10 minutes' drive away.

The property's contemporary design combines the essence of relaxed coastal living with Hainan's unique cultural heritage infused with Southeast Asian influences. This is expressed in Balinese-inspired architecture and interiors styled with a graceful Hainan touch. Natural materials and nature-inspired aesthetics also create a sensory connection to the destination.

Hyatt Centric brand expands into Southeast Asia

Hyatt has also confirmed the debut of its rapidly growing Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand in Malaysia and Southeast Asia with the opening of Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu.

The 222-room (including 16 suites) hotel is centrally located in the heart of the city's lively dining and entertainment district, providing a convenient homebase for adventurous explorers and local residents in the coastal capital of Malaysia's Sabah state on the island of Borneo.

Set against the lush backdrop of Signal Hill, the hotel's contemporary architecture and interiors by globally renowned architect Kengo Kuma reflect the heritage of Sabah. The interior design is inspired by the majestic jungles of Borneo, with bamboo found in the lobby representing the vegetation in the forest floor while the greenery-accented rooftop creates the sense of being at the canopy overlooking the blue waters and verdant hills.

The 23-storey hotel features modern guestrooms with balconies and is crowned with an infinity pool, duplex restaurant and bar on the rooftop, offering sweeping views overlooking Signal Hill, the islands at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park and the South China Sea.

It is located just steps away from shopping hotspots and the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal from which guests can take a short 20-minute boat trip to surrounding islands to enjoy white sandy beaches and underwater activities.

New Hyatt Place Jaipur Malviya Nagar opens in India…

The Hyatt Place Jaipur Malviya Nagar, the first Hyatt Place hotel in Rajasthan and seventh Hyatt Place hotel in India, has opened - expanding the Hyatt Place brand's footprint.

The new, which has been developed by Heritage Motels Private Limited, features the Hyatt Place brand's intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi everywhere and 24-hour food offerings.

The 116-room property is located close to the core business district of the city, and within reach of major tourist destinations and shopping malls. It is just a 10-minute drive from the Jaipur International Airport.

… while Hyatt Place Huangshan Train Station arrives in China

Hyatt Place Huangshan Train Station, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Huangshan, has also opened.

The 180-room property is a three-minute drive from Huangshanbei Railway Station, and a 25-minute drive from Huangshan Tunxi International Airport. The Tourism Transport Hub, located across the hotel, offers transportation services to major attractions such as Mount Huangshan and Hongcun Village.

Hyatt Regency Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort offers 'place of connection'

Hyatt has also confirmed the opening of Hyatt Regency Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort, the centerpiece of the new Hainan R&F Ocean Paradise, a large-scale, integrated resort that consists of Hainan R&F Ocean Paradise Resort, R&F Water Park and various marine-themed hotels.

With an ocean-inspired style and direct access to the Hainan R&F Ocean Paradise theme park, the hotel is designed to offer guests "a place of connection - both to nature and to who and what matters to them most," according to Hyatt.

"Guests of Hyatt Regency Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort will encounter new perspectives on vacation, relaxation and collaborations surrounded by breathtaking views of the South China Sea and Hainan Island," says Jenkin Li, general manager of Hyatt Regency Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort.

The hotel's 1,000 guestrooms, include 29 suites with the option of connecting twin-bed rooms. Undulating walls reflecting the ocean, natural textures and aquamarine accents convey a refreshing ambience. All rooms offer a private balcony to enjoy views of the ocean, Ocean Paradise Resort, mountain or garden.

Hyatt Regency brand growth offers convention connection in Salt Lake City

The 25-storey Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City officially opened on 17-Oct-2022, debuting as the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Utah and the only hotel directly adjoining the Salt Palace Convention Center. The anticipated arrival of one of the city's largest hotel developments positions Salt Lake City as a top destination for hosting world-class events, adding 60,000 square feet of event space just steps from the many cultural experiences and outdoor pursuits the city has to offer.

The development of the property "has been in the works for a long time," acknowledges the hotel's general manager, Pina Purpero. The project was envisioned by Salt Lake County and industry partners more than 10 years ago to address the growing demand of large-scale events. The ethos of the Hyatt Regency brand was "a natural fit to bring this vision to life, adding modernity and vibrancy to the city's central core," according to Ms Purpero.

Located at the epicentre of the bustling downtown area, just steps from Main Street, the property brings together the city's local eclectic style with intuitive design, tech-enabled conveniences, and energising spaces. Set to a backdrop of the towering Wasatch mountains, it offers a modern hotel experience in downtown Salt Lake City, which serves as a gateway to year-round mountain adventure.

The hotel features 700 guestrooms and suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the city skyline and surrounding mountain peaks. Each guestroom is outfitted with modern furnishings, separate seating areas, high-speed internet streaming, a Smart Mirror vanity and digital room key entry via the World of Hyatt app.

Hyatt Regency brand also debuts in Lisbon, Portugal

The further growth of the Hyatt Regency profile also sees the opening of Hyatt Regency Lisbon, located in the district of Belém along the banks of the Tagus River. It marks the arrival of the first Hyatt branded hotel in Portugal.

Located close to Lisbon's iconic downtown area with a bridge that links it to the Tagus riverfront, it offers quick access to the city's historic delights. The Lisbon Congress Center is also very close by, and with unique beaches, train stations and the city's airport all easily accessible by public transport.

The hotel's 204 guestrooms, which include 105 suites, all feature modern interiors and high-end finishings, with some including balcony views over the river. They range from queen bedrooms, all the way up to the Regency 3 Bedroom Suite with its own large private balcony and separate living room with dining area. All are inspired by the famous Portuguese Discoveries and the contemporary influences of Lisbon, rooms feature calming blues and blends of oak wood.
