Aeromexico announced (25-Jun-2020) plans to gradually reactivate services in Jul-2020, which were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The carrier plans to "almost double the number of flights" in Jul-2020 compared to Jun-2020. Aeromexico will increase frequencies to domestic destinations such as Cancun, Guadalajara, Tijuana, Monterrey and Merida. The airline will resume operations from Mexico City to Huatulco, Zacatecas and Manzanillo, and from Monterrey to Cancun, Queretaro, Chihuahua and Hermosillo. Aeromexico will also launch Monterrey-Tijuana service. For the international market, it expects an operation of almost four times more compared to Jun-2020. Aeromexico will resume operations from Mexico City to Austin, Tokyo and São Paulo, and from Guadalajara to Chicago, Sacramento and Fresno.
