Air Niugini introduces cash handling fee

Air Niugini introduced (21-Apr-2021) a 5% cash handling fee on all cash transactions at select locations. The carrier said it needed to "ensure that at least some of the significant costs of accepting cash (including associated safety and security costs) are covered in order to be able to continue to offer this as a payment option".
