ALTA CEO: Lack of COVID-19 regulation standardisation across region hurting industry's recovery

Latin American Air Transport Association (ALTA) CEO Jose Ricardo Botelho said the greatest challenge facing Latin American airlines is a lack of harmonisation of travel rules across the region (Reuters/El Economista, 24-Oct-2021). Mr Botelho said standardisation of entry requirements is "vital" to building passenger confidence, adding a lack of consensus among health authorities is threatening the industry's recovery.
