Amaszonas Uruguay suspends passenger operations due to highly 'complex' environment in Uruguay

Amaszonas Uruguay plans to suspend passenger operations and focus on alternatives such as cargo transport, due to the restrictions imposed to address the COVID-19 pandemic (Caras y Caretas, 29-Jan-2021). Amaszonas Uruguay general manager Sergio Leon stated: "We did everything to continue offering connectivity to the passenger in Uruguay. Regretfully, operations in Uruguay became very complex… the reason for which we have to reinvent ourselves".
