Australian Airports Association: ACCC report confirms airport hardships due to coronavirus

    Australian Airports Association (AAA) stated (31-Mar-2021) Australian Competition and Consumer Commission‘s (ACCC) latest ‘Airport Monitoring Report’ has confirmed the significant losses the sector has endured due to the ongoing impacts of coronavirus. AAA CEO James Goodwin stated: “The annual report showed passenger numbers dropped by 26.5% compared to the previous financial year and profits dropped by more than 55%”, with the following year’s report to “show the full impact COVID-19 has had on the sector”.
