Avianca details plans to resume scheduled international operations

Avianca, via its official LinkedIn account, announced (24-Sep-2020) plans to gradually resume international operations from Colombia effective 28-Sep-2020. The carrier plans to resume Medellin Jose Maria Cordova-Miami and Medellin Jose Maria Cordova-New York services with A320 effective 28-Sep-2020. The carrier plans to resume Bogota services to Guayaquil, Quito, Mexico City Juarez, Sao Paulo Guarulhos, Miami and New York JFK effective 01-Oct-2020. Services to Cancun, Guatemala City, La Paz, Punta Cana, Rio de Janeiro Galeao, Santiago, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, San Salvador, Santo Domingo Las Americas and Washington will resume on 15-Oct-2020. Initial planning includes the operation of 34 aircraft to handle Avianca's international network. Passengers arriving in Colombia must present a negative PCR test no older than 96 hours.
