    Australia‘s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reported (24-May-2021) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia for Mar-2021:

    • Passengers: 58,336, -96.6% year-on-year;
    • Available seats: 377,451, -87.1%;
    • Cargo: 73,604 tonnes, -8.5%;
    • Flights: 3557, -69.0%;
    • Aircraft movements: 3767, -68.1%;
    • Top 10 international carriers:
      • Share of passengers carried:
        • Singapore Airlines: 19.3%, +7.2pp;
        • Qatar Airways: 15.3%, +10.3pp;
        • Air New Zealand: 14.5%, +6.1pp;
        • Emirates Airline: 8.9%, +0.7pp;
        • China Southern Airlines: 5.7%, +4.9pp;
        • United Airlines: 3.9%, +2.1pp;
        • Etihad Airways: 2.6%, -0.3pp;
        • Air Niugini: 2.5%, +2.1pp;
        • SriLankan Airlines: 2.4%, +1.8pp;
        • Delta Air Lines: 2.4%, +1.9pp;
      • Share of cargo carried:
        • Singapore Airlines: 15.0%, -1.0pp;
        • Emirates Airline: 9.5%, +1.4pp;
        • Qantas Airways: 9.3%, -3.9pp;
        • FedEx: 9.2%, +3.3pp;

    LCCs Jetstar Airways and Scoot accounted for 0.7% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in Mar-2021. The LCC share in Mar-2020 was 14.1%.
