Brand Finance issued (26-Jan-2021) its 2021 US brands report, finding COVID-19 resulted in decreased brand value across the board for US aviation businesses. Key findings:
- Boeing: Down 40% to USD13.6 billion. Boeing was among the top ten fastest falling brands for 2021. The OEM's brand reputation issues continued in early 2021, following the crash of a 737-500 in Indonesia in early Jan-2021;
- American Airlines: Down 40% to USD5.3 billion;
