EUROCONTROL: Half of European aviation CO2 emissions come from just 6% of fights

EUROCONTROL reported (16-Feb-2021) long haul flights (>4000km) from European airports in 2020 accounted for 6.2% of total aircraft movements, carry 10% of total seats, more than 40% of seat kilometres and 51.9% of total CO2 emissions. 30.6% of flights from European airports were under 500km and created 4.3% of CO2 emissions.
