11 February, 2021

France's Secretary of State for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari rejected proposals from EU regulators that Air France be required to relinquish slots at Paris Orly Airport in order to obtain European Commission approval for further state aid in response to COVID-19 (Bloomberg, 11-Feb-2021). He further said that the government seeks a "proportionate" deal that "addresses not only competition but the social reality of the sector".
