To give or to receive - it's up to you!

This holiday season, Blue Santa is back, but WestJet, famous for its holiday miracles, has been asking the question: would you give or receive? Instead of WestJet deciding who gets what, who goes where, or who gets reunited with whom, it has left the decision making to its guests. "The choice is up to you!" was its slogan.

Lost Reindeer - there's nothing quite like the magic of the season.

Air Canada certainly reignites that festive spark with its cinematic ad 'Lost Reindeer'. The commercial stars a group of children who come across a magical reindeer in the woods a few days before Christmas. Over the subsequent few days, they work together to build a sledge and help the reindeer harness its magic to find its way home.

British Airways always brings us home

British Airways surprised unsuspecting customers as they arrived at its London Heathrow hub. The airline's choir wowed 1000s of people as they arrived at London Heathrow's Terminal 5 with a flying rendition of the quintessential Christmas carol, Deck The Halls. The live performance begins in the Heathrow Terminal 5 baggage hall as unsuspecting passengers collect their bags. It culminates with the soloists joining their supporting choir in the Arrivals Hall, amongst reuniting families and friends.

Vilnius airport build's festive tree full of items confiscated at security

You don't often see a tree made from knives, toy guns, bullets, lighters and corkscrews. But, you can at Lithuania's main airport gateway in its capital Vilnius. The quirky festive display at Vilnius airport has been created using items confiscated from travellers at the security checkpoint. The airport describes the creation as a 'truly unique educational masterpiece' that acts an educational message about what should never be seen in an airport terminal.

Santa paws is coming to town… well, London Luton airport actually

Santa paws came to town ahead of the holidays for a celebratory party was held for the 12 police dogs that work at London Luton airport in the United Kingdom. To thank them for their work this year the six spaniels (Chip, Milo, Laser, Peper, Poppy and Sparky) and six Labradors (Hunter, Quirky, Toby, Charley, Ned and George) each chowed down on festive dog treats and played festive games in the terminal. The dogs are trained in a variety of skills, with some able to search planes, premises and luggage for drugs, guns and money, while others can find explosives. According to Luton airport there was also special music playlist: Bark the Herald Angels Sing; Santa paws is coming to town; Furry-tail of New York; The Collie and the Ivy; Deck the Halls with Border Collies; Dachshund through the snow; Mary's Good-Boy Child; Merry Christmas Every Doggy; Feliz Navi-dog; and Dog Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Adopt a better future for the world

It may not be directly related to the travel industry, but with sustainability a key topic it is an important message. As the World Wide Fund for Nature, an international non-governmental organisation, highlights: "their world is disappearing - and we are the last generation who could save it". 'Their' is a jaguar and by adopting one, you aren't just helping a single animal, "you're protecting the rainforest and everything in it," it explains. This holiday season WWF is asking people to come together and join the fight to #AdoptABetterFuture. "Because one adoption is powerful, but one million adoptions can be world changing," it says.

English for beginners

Finally, this one from Allegro, an online auction site similar to Ebay, has been grabbing a lot of attention touching the hearts of millions. It begins with an older Polish man ordering an "English for Beginners" book online. He puts stickers on household objects and recites phrases out loud, delivering some humorous moments.
