IATA: Argentina's border restrictions unsustainable for the industry

9 August, 2021

IATA vice president for the Americas Peter Cerda said the Argentinean Government's quota on incoming daily passengers is putting the country's connectivity with the rest of the world "at risk" (MercoPress/Radio La Red/infobae/CNN Radio, 4/5/9-Aug-2021). Mr Cerda described the regulations as "unsustainable" for the aviation industry, adding that airlines are considering permanently suspending their services to Argentina due to the "lack of coordination and transparency" from the government.
