IATA reports first trial of Travel Pass on a Singapore Airlines flight to London Heathrow

IATA announced (17-Mar-2021) it completed a trial of the first traveller using the IATA Travel Pass app to manage their travel health credentials. The passenger travelled on a Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore to London Heathrow. IATA Travel Pass can be used to:

  • Create a secure digital version of a passengers passport on a personal mobile device;
  • Input their flight details to learn of travel restrictions and requirements;
  • Receive verified test results and a confirmation that they meet all travel requirements.

IATA director general and CEO Alexandre de Juniac said: "The successful implementation of IATA Travel Pass in this trial with Singapore Airlines passengers demonstrates that technology can securely, conveniently and efficiently help travellers and governments to manage travel health credentials.
