IATA: Traffic has 'collapsed on key Asian routes' due to coronavirus

IATA director general and CEO Alexandre de Junaic reported (02-Mar-2020) traffic has "collapsed on key Asian routes" as a result of the coronavirus outbreak and this is "rippling throughout the air transport network globally", even between countries without major coronavirus outbreaks. Mr de Juniac said the world is "facing a huge challenge to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while enabling the global economy to continue functioning".
