Icelandair considering A321LR in long term fleet strategy

Icelandair CEO Bogi Nils Bogason said the carrier is considering “a few different scenarios” as a long term replacement for its Boeing 757 equipment, including the A321LR (Simple Flying, 07-Jan-2021). He said the aircraft is a “very good replacement candidate” that is being “thoroughly” reviewed by Icelandair. The carrier operates a fleet of 29 aircraft, including 25 in storage, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
