Israel hopes for return of travel by end of 1Q2021 with new tourism initiatives

Israel Government Tourist Office's director Sharon Bershadsky said the initiatives to establish 'green islands' at Eilat and the Dead Sea could allow for the return of travel by the end of 1Q2021 (The Jewish Chronicle, 11-Nov-2020). Ms Bershadsky noted: "If this works well with domestic, maybe it will work for tourists". Ms Bershadsky said international tourism will initially be based on organised tours for greater control.
